City of Grande Prairie

Grande Prairie

The City of Grande Prairie serves as the regional centre for business, health care, service and shopping for northwest Alberta and northeast British Columbia.

Modern and vibrant, the City exudes a confidence and vitality that has consistently encouraged strong industrial, economic, and residential growth. Excellent infrastructure, transportation, and communication links, and the availability of a well-trained work force, invite easy investment.

The City of Grande Prairie provides the full range of educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities desired for quality living in a community that has retained a small town feeling. A great place to be!

REALTORS Care® Foundation

REALTORS® do Care

The Canadian REALTORS Care® Foundation has been established to allow for collection, administration and disbursement of charitable donations and receipts in lieu of individual Boards, Associations and real estate companies having to set up their own. The Foundation will not be engaged in fund raising activities itself. It will not compete with existing Foundations or Boards and Associations and the excellent fund raising activities they undertake.

Rather, the creation of a national foundation is designed to do two things. The first is to save members the costs and administrative burden of setting up their own Foundations. The national foundation will also be the vehicle for collecting, sharing and promoting the extensive community and charitable contributions that REALTORS® make.

An important benefit of the Foundation is that it will allow us to collect information on community and charitable events in which REALTORS® are involved. This information will be shared within organized real estate, as well as promoted to the public. We know that there are many outstanding charitable programs in place across the country.

It is important that we share those initiatives with each other. Great ideas in one place are often the cause for doing something similar in another place. And it is important that we let the public know about REALTOR® contributions to their communities.

FOR OUR INDUSTRY PARTNERS

Auxiliary Class Membership

For the first time ever, we are opening up our membership to include an Auxiliary class membership for 'industry partners'.  Now law firms, lawyers, banks, mortgage professionals, builders and home inspectors are welcomed under the umbrella of our Board.  We provide great value to those who join us as Auxiliary members for the very affordable rate of $25 initial joining fee and $20 per month after that.  Better yet, offices with multiple members pay only for the first five people - there is no charge for the sixth or subsequent member from a single office.

Benefits offered to Auxiliary members include:

  • Invitation to all of our social events and activities (Great networking!)
  • Receive email "READ All About It" which provides links to pertinent pre-screened real estate/economy related headlines from newspapers across the country.
  • Receive our local stats monthly.
  • Receive 'charts' monthly - these are graphs prepared for us by CMHC using our raw statistical data; showing several measures and market indicators.
  • Opportunities to attend our 'Lunch & Learn' sessions.  We hold approximately 10 of these a year.
  • Opportunity to Sponsor a Lunch & Learn - for a $100 sponsorship fee you may provide handouts to all attendees and speak for 5 minutes on your product or service at the event, you will be included in all promotional material for the event, as well as be acknowledged by the Emcee during the event.
  • For a nominal fee you may use our internal courier service to distribute marketing material to all of our REALTORS® and Appraiser members.
  • Pay "member only" rates to our social and educational events including the Annual President's Gala.
  • Meeting space rental at special member rates.
  • 8 unit computer lab rental at special member rates.
  • Take advantage of member benefits and other specially negotiated rates at various special events.

If you have any additional ideas, we are always looking for ways to improve our services and are open to your suggestions. We look forward to welcoming ’Industry Partners' to our membership effective immediately.  Call or email for further details or for membership forms.
